Rapid Starts Community of Practice

2nd Tuesday of the month
12pm - 1pm Pacific time
September 2024 - May 2025

Facilitated by Elwood, Program Supervisor at Multnomah County Health Services Center, this monthly gathering of HIV providers and their support staff, and administrators in Oregon and SW Washington will develop protocols for the adoption of rapid starts for newly diagnosed, new to care, and out of care clients with HIV in the region.

Each meeting will feature a check-in discussion about participants’ experiences, successes, and concerns; a topic-based discussion led by experts; and a debrief to determine action items and next steps.

Suggested Participants

  • Those who have previously participated in the Community of Practice on Rapid Start

  • Providers who have completed and STI/HIV or Rapid Start preceptorship with MWAETC

This Community of Practice is intended for those who are actively integrating or thinking about integrating Rapid Start into their clinical practice. If you are new to Rapid Start, we will offer a Learning Collaborative to share more about this innovative standard of care. If you’re interested in knowing more about the Learning Collaborative, contact Rappenzeller@orpca.org.

More about Rapid Starts
